We have a recommended price per ticket. However, there are subsidised options and tickets above the guide price to help choose a price that best works for you.

The Pay What You Can model offers those who can afford to pay the recommended price or even a little more, the opportunity to support those who cannot.

Richard Hughes, Chief Executive of Awen Cultural Trust, said:

“At Awen, we believe that access to the arts and culture should be for all. We are working hard to remove the physical, social and economic barriers to participation. This includes installing ramps, lifts, Changing Places facilities and offering free tickets to carers through the Hynt scheme.

“Pay What You Can aims to remove the financial barriers to arts and cultural events, particularly during this current cost-of-living crisis when tickets can seem like an unaffordable luxury for so many.

“We hope that by offering our customers the choice to pay what is within their financial means, across a select number of events, no one is excluded from enjoying professional, live performances within their community.”

How does Pay What You Can work?

On performances which offer a Pay What You Can option, there will be multiple prices to choose from. To help you make a decision, we will include a recommended price. This is the amount we would normally charge for a ticket for this performance. Any amount paid over the recommended price will help us continue to offer tickets on a Pay What You Can basis, removing the barrier of ticket costs for those who need it most.
