What we do
Cultural Olympiad 2024
Try something new for 2024 as we celebrate Bridgend County Borough Council’s Cultural Olympiad, with a fortnight of events for older people across our libraries, venues and community spaces.
The Cultural Olympiad events, which are mostly free and pay-what-you-can, aim to provide opportunities for people aged 60+ to be more active.
Beginning on Saturday 20 January with a song-writing workshop at Pyle Library, a Ukulele Workshop at Bryngarw Country Park and a Silent Disco at Awel Y Mor Community Centre in Porthcawl, events can be booked online at awenboxoffice.com or in person at libraries (for library events). Other activities include mural painting, circus skills, a drumming circle, mocktail-making and much more.
