Welsh Government and Coed Cadw, the Woodland Trust in Wales, are offering thousands of trees to households in Wales, free of charge.

Bryngarw Country Park will be a collection point for the ‘My Tree, Our Forest’ initiative, which runs from Monday 20th February until Friday 31st March 2023.

The trees will be distributed by the Valleys Regional Park Guardians every Tuesday between 2pm and 2.30pm.

If you are unable to visit, there are other ways to get involved in the initiative aimed at helping to tackle the effects of climate change and contributing to the National Forest for Wales.

  • The Woodland Trust can plant a tree on your behalf, free of charge. All you have to do is complete an online form and they will take care of the rest.
  • You can have a tree posted to you. There are 40,000 postal trees available on a first come first served basis and you can apply for one using an online form via The Woodland Trust.
