Volunteer at Awen

Volunteer at Awen

As a charity, we rely on the dedication and support of volunteers, who kindly offer their time and skills across the organisation.

Whether it's working front-of-house at one of our theatres, supporting our team of rangers at Bryngarw Country Park, or getting involved in a heritage or library activity, there are roles to suit all interests and availability at Awen.

Research* shows that volunteers find volunteering an enjoyable experience, feel they make a difference, benefit from new social connections, feel less isolated, and have improved their mental health and wellbeing.

But don't just take our word for it. Our volunteers tell us:

“It has been amazing, I’ve gained employment from the skills and experience I gathered as a volunteer and I’ve made lots of new friendships along the way.”

“It’s made me more aware of the challenges faced by adults with additional learning needs. I feel like I make a difference, by ‘giving back’ and contributing to Awen’s purpose.”

"[Volunteering] made me smile again and have a positive attitude on life."
