At Awen, our commitment to celebrating and supporting Welsh culture and the Welsh language is woven through everything we do: bringing people together, championing local talent and creating spaces where our heritage can thrive.

One of the most vibrant examples of this commitment is the return of the Ogi Ogi Festival taking place at Bryngarw Country Park this Sunday 28th June from 12pm – 5pm for the third year running.

Delivered in partnership with Menter Iaith Bro Ogwr, the festival is a joyful celebration of Welsh language, music and culture, right at the heart of our community.

Working with organisations like Menter Iaith Bro Ogwr allows us to actively promote the everyday use of Welsh across Bridgend County Borough. Partnerships like this are vital in creating opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to engage with the language in a natural, welcoming and enjoyable way.

This year’s festival brings together some of Wales’s most exciting performers, including Bethan Nia and Mei Gwynedd, offering visitors the chance to enjoy live music through the medium of Welsh. Whether you’re a fluent Welsh speaker, a learner, or just curious, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
