Nyall's B-Leaf and volunteering journey

B-Leaf trainee’s enjoyment of volunteering at The Bridge - How Nyall is benefiting from his work placement in Bridgend Town Centre

Nyall attends B-Leaf once a week and likes watering the plants and collecting litter around Bryngarw Country Park. He was keen to start doing more activities and developing his confidence in new areas.

With the support of the team at B-Leaf, Nyall was able to take up an eight-week work volunteer placement at The Bridge in Bridgend town centre. He enjoyed learning new skills including customer service and restocking the food pantry.

Nyall has also participated in an English Language skills course delivered at B-Leaf in partnership with Bridgend College, which he really enjoyed. The more Nyall gets involved in, the more his confidence is growing; he is thriving!

Niall said: “I enjoy going to B-Leaf. I like learning new things. I have learnt a lot in the classes I have taken. I am happy in the Bridge helping everyone.”
