To mark Dementia Action Week, Awen will be lighting up Maesteg Town Hall and Y Muni blue on Wednesday 20th May to raise awareness of dementia and encourage everyone to join the Alzheimer Society’s Forget Me Not Appeal.
Dementia Action Week is an awareness campaign led by the Alzheimer’s Society, to bring people and organisations together to act on dementia. Research shows that 1 in 3 people born in the UK today will develop dementia in their lifetime.
Awen is committed to becoming a dementia-friendly organisation. We run regular events across our venues, including these which will be held throughout Dementia Action Week:
