February is Safer Internet Month, and Awen Libraries are proud to be taking part in this important campaign, thanks to funding from the Welsh Government.

In today’s digital world, staying safe online is more important than ever. Whether you’re shopping, chatting with friends, accessing public services or helping children navigate the web, knowing how to protect yourself makes a huge difference. That’s why, throughout the month of February, we’ll be offering a range of friendly, helpful activities designed to boost your confidence online.

Throughout the month, you can look forward to:

Top tips for staying safe online
We’ll be sharing simple, useful tips in our libraries and on our social media channels to help you feel more secure and in control when using the internet.

Digital drop-in sessions
Pop into our libraries with any online safety questions you may have. Our colleagues will be on hand to help with practical advice, from spotting scams to strengthening your privacy settings.

Special events and activities
Luke from Barclays will be running free Online Safety sessions at Betws Library on 17th, Sarn Library on 19th and Porthcawl Library on 20th February.

Whether you’re a regular library visitor or completely new to Awen Libraries, everyone is welcome to participate.
