Film featuring B-Leaf and Wood-B trainees wins Best Drama

Delighted to announce that ‘Different Now’, the short film featuring our B-Leaf and Wood-B trainees as extras, scooped the Best Drama award at the It’s My Shout Awards Night on Sunday evening.

It’s My Shout is a Welsh-based independent film production company dedicated to discovering and nurturing new talent in the film and television industry. You can read more about their work here.

Each year, they produce a number of short films, both dramas and documentaries, in collaboration with broadcast partners, BBC Wales and S4C, providing participants with the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals and gain practical skills.

As part of our commitment to supporting cultural and creative industries’ career pathways, ‘Different Now’ and ‘The Green Cottage’ were sponsored by Awen. The films were broadcast on BBC Two Wales, S4C and BBC iPlayer in December.

Our trainees were excited to meet Jason Mohammad, Sabrina Lee, Rhodri Owen and Andrew Jenkins at the awards ceremony, as well as seeing themselves on the big screen at the ICC during the celebrations.
