We’re celebrating Seriously Social week - a nationwide celebration of the incredible impact charities and social enterprises have on our communities, led by Community Leisure UK.
We are committed to putting people above profit, inspiring healthier and happier lifestyles, and creative thriving places where communities can connect. All while supporting local employment and local growth.
We are particularly proud of our partnership with Halo Leisure to combine school swimming lessons with library visits. Awen manages Pyle Library and Halo manages Pyle Swimming Pool, both on behalf of Bridgend County Borough Council.
Huge thanks to the staff and Year 6 pupils from Newton Primary School - Porthcawl for taking part in this film. They spent a week having structured swimming lessons alongside guided visits to Pyle Library.
By combining physical activity with reading and learning enrichment, the initiative aims to support children’s wellbeing, educational development and social inclusion through engaging, practical experiences in trusted public spaces.
