B-Leaf and Wood-B Trainees Shine on Screen

Award-winning film and television training scheme ‘It's My Shout’ hosts premiere at Maesteg Town Hall.

It was a proud moment for us last night, watching our talented B-Leaf and Wood-B trainees appear as film extras on the big screen at Maesteg Town Hall. They were appearing in one of eight short films, ‘Different Now’, produced by It’s My Shout for BBC Wales and S4C.

‘Different Now’, which was written by Tommy Cowell and features upcoming actors Mattie Packer, Garin Williams, Ffion Morgan and Cameron Luca Lewis, celebrates diversity and inclusivity, which we are always keen to champion at Awen.

The trainees filmed their scenes in Porthcawl on a hot summer’s day, and all said they enjoyed the experience of working on a professional film set. Thanks to Roger Burnell and everyone at It’s My Shout for giving them this worthwhile opportunity.
