I joined Awen in January 2018 after working at a digital marketing company in Cardiff. I had not long graduated (July 2017) and wanted to explore other avenues of marketing, particularly venues and events marketing. With a passion for the outdoors in my home life, I was excited when I was appointed to assist with the marketing of Bryngarw Country Park. As well as the park I also coordinate the marketing for Awen’s multiple libraries, community centres, B-Leaf, Wood-B, Grand Pavilion Caffi Bar and others. Whilst working with multiple venues it gives me the opportunity to grow numerous marketing skills including digital and print.
Since starting at Awen I’ve been given the opportunity to attend many training and away-days, including the Arts Marketing Conference in Liverpool. The conference aims to help cultural organisations gain more knowledge and skills with training, events and resources and the weekend made my passion for marketing and development grow. I have since commencd my ILM Level 3 Apprenticeship in Leadership and Management to enhance my professional development.
